And she's gone again!

Now Olivia is at camp for a week. She'll be home Sunday evening. She's in for a real surprise when she gets home! Her therapy room is nearly complete. We have the painting done, and now just have to hang the wall board, mount the mirror and put up the window treatments. The room looks great! What a transformation. Stay turned for pictures, which hopefully will be coming soon.

She's home!!!!!

Olivia is home, safe and sound! She looks great. She has a great tan and looks like she gained a few desperately needed pounds!

Three more days...

...until Olivia comes home! Boy do I miss her! My sister told me she is diligently doing her exercises everyday! The room is moving along.....slowly. Scott still has stuff in there, but he promised me it will be empty by Saturday. I'm not taking bets on that one.

I'm hoping to be able to start the sanding/painting on Monday. I'll post pictures as the progression of the room moves along.

And...I know these posts are boring without pictures, but Olivia has the camera with her in Texas.

It' almost a week....

...since Olivia left for Dallas. She is having a blast. I've talked to her everyday (well almost, I haven't talked to her yet today). I am really missing her.

She is doing her exercises daily. I'm really proud of her. She'll be home next Sunday evening. We'll begin on getting her therapy room set up once she gets home (and Scott is completely moved out. I can't believe he's moving out).

Off to Dallas!

Well, today was Olivia's big day. Bright and early this morning, she took her first flight by herself to Dallas to spend a two weeks with my sister and her kids. She's flown before, but never alone. She was a bit scared, but I think the excitement took over quickly!

Now, I on the other hand was very nervous! When a minor travels alone, they do require a parent to accompany them to the gate and remain there until the plane takes off. Of course, if they didn't allow me to do that, she wouldn't have gone!

She had strict instructions to call me the minute the plane landed, which of course she did. She was so excited to tell me that once everyone was boarded, the stewardess came to her and told her that the plane was out of balance and they had to move her up to first class! Isn't that hilarious! I'm sure her whole 90 some pounds put the plane off balance! There were also two other kids on the plane, a brother and sister, ages 12 and 13 who were going home to the Dallas area after spending three weeks with their aunt in Ann Arbor. They too were moved with Olivia to first class, and they had a blast. They were served breakfast, fruit and all they wanted to drink. I certainly hope she isn't expecting this to happen on her way home! What a treat.

Anyhow, she brought with her what she was able to as far as her equipment goes to continue her exercises while she's there. She really is doing well.

I'm going to really miss her. It's going to be awfully quiet around here!

We'll miss you Charlie :(

Purring, Charlie was comforted by his last pet from Scott and Olivia.

He will be missed and will always be loved.
Charlie was the coolest cat ever!

Olivia was extremely broken up of the loss of our beloved cat, Charlie. After we got home from the vet and buried him, she was willing to do some of her exercises. I think it helped occupy her mind. She is doing much better this evening.

Two of her friends are spending the night. This afternoon, Bob and Olivia pitched a tent, and the girls have only come out to eat and use the bathroom! They're planning on sleeping out there tonight, but it's kinda chilly and raining. We shall see!
